A Spontaneous Visit to b.Patisserie

We woke up to cloudy skies this morning. I haven’t been feeling great the last few days so given my husband had an appointment this morning and I had time in between, I figured it was time for a pick me up. 

I stopped by one of our favorite bakeries in San Francisco, b.patisserie.  They make fresh batches every morning and everything I’ve had here is memorably delicious. 

I tried their chocolate banana scones and the fragrant banana filling inside almost tasted like custard.

While waiting in line, I saw this boy stare longingly at the pastry options. I think there’s something special about baked goods that so many people love, regardless of your age and where you come from. There’s something beautiful about that.

I picked up a little over a dozen for our office (and snuck in eating a Madeline enroute!). I think everything disappeared within an hour and by the time I came back to the kitchen, even the box was gone haha. A little something to brighten our cloudy day.
