Our Friday Night on Mount Rainier
We started hiking around 5pm on a Friday, crossing open fields of wildflowers billowing in the wind and rising above a sea of clouds. We walked along breathtaking cliff edges at the start of golden hour and cooked dinner to a stunning view of Mount Rainier framed by pastel clouds. We returned under the bright glow of a full moon rise.
There is something to be said for hiking with a crew who’s willing to fly in the day of, drive several hours, and then cover several miles on foot with gear to cook dinner at the top. Love traveling with these two.
My husband and I have wanted to walk above the clouds for a long time. There is something magical looking out into the fluffy, white sea of clouds extending all the way to the horizon.
