A Fresh Spring Start in Search of Wildflowers
My mother and I wandered the fields of rolling green in search of spring wildflowers in bloom. And although the hills were carpeted in green, sometimes we just needed to look a little closer to reveal these petite purple flowers, framed by the billowing blades of grass and varieties of green textures.
After feeling a little burnt out lately, I booked my ticket home on a whim to spend some quality mother-daughter time - something I feel we spend too little of as we grow older. My mother and I casually strolled along the dirt path, taking our time and sharing our love for photography and flowers while being our whimsical, silly selves.
It was a beautiful, warm day where temperatures continued to hover in the high 70s late into the afternoon. It felt refreshing and free in a skirt and tee, while the breeze softly blew around us and the grass danced in tune.
I am so proud to call this lady mom. No matter how tired and worn I feel, she has a way of “always finding a way” that it’s hard not be re-inspired and re-energized at the same time.
So as winter fades and spring brings with it new beginnings, I skip among the flowers feeling lighter than air.
