Monet, The Late Years Exhibit
In search of inspiration, my husband and I visited the Monet exhibit at the de Young Museum a few weekends ago. A bit worn out these days, looking at Monet’s paintings gave me a sense of peace and wonder as I contemplated his complexity of pastel colors and saw the world through his lens.
Upon entering the de Young, we were struck by the brilliance of his colors, framed by the neutral walls of the museum, like a soothing fireworks of color in a dreary world and an inviting balm to a weary soul staring at light at the end of a tunnel.
