Ways to Enjoy the Rainy Season
With the busy work weeks and the rainy weather, we’ve been finding ourselves wanting to unwind at home. After some hot yoga in the morning, we’ve been bundling up in blankets on our sofa, doing a little web browsing, reading, and watching Netflix. Here are a few finds that might brighten your rainy weekend:
I recently discovered the book, Celebrate Everything by Darcy Miller. There are so many great ideas for planning fun get-togethers with friends and family.
Rainy days are great for cooking soup at home. Check out Ottolenghi’s flavorful soup recipes on The Guardian. I love his recipes and my husband in particular, loves his vegetarian soups.
My husband booked us tickets to see a cool art exhibit at One Dome, called LMNL. It’s an immersive art experience with several exhibits that last about an hour to walk through indoors!
We finished watching the Umbrella Academy on Netflix. There’s nothing like finding a binge worthy show to watch over a lazy weekend.
I’d also recommend watching The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind on Netflix. It’s a feel-good movie based on a true story about a boy who figured out how to harness wind energy to save his people from starvation.
Order a Bouncy Japanese Cheesecake from Keki Modern Cakes from NY! It’s only been recently added to Goldbelly, which ships food and pastries across the country from some of your favorite, far away spots.
