When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemon Tea
There’s nothing like a little tea time at home with Meyer lemons and cookies to brighten up the day when you’re feeling a little under the weather. I always like to make a little lemon tea with a squeeze of fresh Meyer lemons and a little honey. You can usually determine the sweetness of the lemons by its pungent scent. Some are sweet enough, they can easily be eaten like a orange.
When I was little, my great aunt would setup a little tea time for us at her home after school, either with some new pastry she discovered or little marmalade sandwiches with the crusts trimmed off. Since then, tea time has always been a little treat and tradition we try to have on weekend afternoons.
Life lately has been incredibly busy and I’ve found myself more worn out than usual. So savoring these little moments help me refresh and unwind as I look to mini adventures to renew my inspiration. We’ve been planning a few trips to take as spring approaches and the super bloom is returning. We have some massages in the plan as well as some new, healthy recipes to try. More recently, we’ve tried remaking Tender Greens’ Happy Vegan dish at home. I’d highly recommend trying the farro recipe and green hummus rendition. It’s great with a runny egg on top!
