Life Lately
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks since we’ve returned from Thanksgiving with more to come until Christmas weekend. We’ve been taking a few breaks in between to enjoy the little moments.
We took a trip to Sur la Table and found this cute, little copper kettle ornament. They have other cooking items with a similar copper look as well, but this reminded us so much of our diy teapot lamp, it was hard to leave without it.
On our way home, we decided to stop by Fort Mason spontaneously and were ecstatic to find it converted for the weekend to sell Christmas trees! My husband found the perfect mini noble fir tree for our home:
I pulled out my collection of mini ornaments I’d collected over the years and we decorated the tree with a movie playing in the background.
As a special treat, we dropped by the mall after some errands one weekend and each bought a mini cheesecake tart from Bake Cheese Tart. I loved my honey cheesecake. My husband chose a yummy Dandelion Chocolate cheese tart.
Our newest find was a popular Russian bakery & cafe called Cinderella. We were craving some Russian honey cake, but found ourselves ordering their popular dumplings and a savory soup that reminded me of my favorite soup from Vienna several years ago.
Before the week begins again, we’re taking it slow. After our long walk to the park today for some fresh air, we’re looking forward to a lazy night at home. It’s time for some winter dream tea lattes at home, cozy blankets, and Season 2 of Mrs. Maisel.
