Finally Home & Unwinding with a Little Embroidery
After an intense marathon at work, six flights in two and a half weeks, I’m finally home with my husband and unwinding with Christmas right around the corner. We drove up to my brother-in-law’s lake house for the night and hung out around the table after dinner. We chatted over a few cups of tea as I worked on my new embroidery project.
The last few weeks have been hectic, but there’s something about embroidery that’s soothing. I’m working on a new pillow cover to change up what we currently have. I’ve always been easily bored, so making things and the act of creating has always brought me joy.
It’s been raining outside, creating a sense of calm while we’re bundled up inside. As much as I love the energy in a crowd, I’ve been looking forward to this quiet night for what seems like a long time. Hope everyone is having a restful holiday and good night!
