A Night of Calligraphy
Shortly after we returned from our mini moon, I held a beginner's calligraphy workshop for a group of twelve. I've only been practicing a short while, but I've been amazed at how accessible learning calligraphy has been.
One of my favorite things about learning something new is being able to share it with others and seeing the delight on their faces too.
For the first time, I tried an oblique pen. It was definitely a bit weird at first given your pen tip is offset from where you're holding the pen barrel. After a while, a few of us actually found it easier to achieve the thick and thin lines with less pen manipulation than a manuscript pen.
Onwards to more practice!
