Visiting the Portland Rose Gardens

While in Portland, we took several photos of my mom and her friends at the public rose gardens. It was stunning how this beautiful garden was free to the community and unsurprisingly packed with people. There's nothing quite like spending a sunny day with the scent of roses in the air. 

It made me so happy to see my mother having so much fun. Almost too much fun. To some degree, I have this feeling she took more photos with her iPhone than my husband and I combined!

Someday, my mom's hoping to plant some garden roses like the rose bush shown below. We used several at our wedding last year.

Somewhere along the way, I found my husband enjoying the shade in this picturesque spot underneath a tree with blooming roses. For anyone visiting Portland, I'd recommend checking out their rose gardens. Perhaps someday, we'll try to take golden hour photos here when the light is softer.
