Wreath Making & Holiday Festivities
To celebrate the beginning of December and the upcoming holidays, we hosted a little get together with our friends, Alan, Eileen, and their son in our home. We made some wreaths in the kitchen with greenery and flowers we picked up from the local flower market. The scents of fresh pine, spruce, and cedar wafted throughout the room along with warm spices from mulled, wassail wine on the stove.
To make the wreaths themselves, I had a few circular frames from previous wreaths we bought, as well as a larger one from Amazon. I used wire, wire cutters, and garden cutters. I started by creating a circle of green and after, layered in various dried and fresh flowers.
My husband was perhaps the fastest, literally finishing his wreath an hour or so before me. I love the pink and white berries he has in the center. The pink berries themselves are peppercorns.
Here’s my first wreath (and largest) of the night. Thanks to my husband for keeping me company until I finished!
I put our largest wreath on the front door, hung by a satin black ribbon. Here’s the start to our holiday festivities!
