Celebrating Our Third Wedding Anniversary
We’re celebrating our third wedding anniversary today. Strange how time flies. We’ve been at home together for about half a year now which has been filled with its own blissful moments that we’re incredibly grateful for.
We bought a house together earlier this spring. We’ve been working on several projects and adding our personal touches to make it our home. I can’t wait to collate some of our projects and share with everyone when we’re done. For now, it’s our little sanctuary where we can step outside into the yard without masks and enjoy the fresh air. It’s given us purpose and an encouraging sense of purpose that we’re building a future here.
As when we first started dating, our evenings are spent cooking together and cuddling on the couch. We still have tea and cookies on those lazy weekend afternoons. Irving’s fully adapted to my mini style of living…such as my mini bowls, cups, clothes, etc. I think we hit a pivotal milestone in our relationship this year when he bought a 13” electric lawnmower on his own (the smallest electric one on the market!). As Irving’s vegetarian, I’ve fully adapted to a mostly vegetarian diet with meat a few times a week. We’re delving into a whole new cooking adventure together with our newly acquired Instapot.
He still massages out the knots in my muscles and buys me extra stores of dark hot chocolate and fresh apple cider when it’s in season. I’m still highly susceptible to getting tickled or caught in his mischief (which happens a lot).
So while we can’t travel this year on our anniversary, we’re quite content to be at home and sharing simple, everyday moments together. Looking forward to the “now” and the coming years ahead.
