A Week in NYC: My Favorite Bakeries & Cafes

FullSizeRender.jpg

My husband and I both have a sweetooth and love dropping by bakeries and cafes. Here are a few of my favorite spots during our trip to NYC!

Bakeri

Located in Greenpoint, this cozy neighborhood bakery with rustic vibes is nestled between homes. From the beautiful wallpaper, delicious chai, and dozens of freshly made baked goods, this was my favorite bakery. I only wish they had one near my home. If you’re making the trek across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan at sunrise like we did, take the ferry to Greenpoint and treat yourself to something special at this bakery.

Spot Dessert Bar

While wandering in East Village, we found this cool dessert place under a dumpling house. Their signature dessert was a beautiful potted plant, but we were intrigued by their matcha waterfall cake. Yum! We ordered a cup of hot yuzu tea to warm ourselves from the chill outside.

There are a few locations in NYC, but my favorite was located in Greenpoint. We also dropped by one in Soho. Along with their tasty pastries, I love their beautiful rustic decorations, tiles, and plates! Wish I knew where to find them! If you’re looking for the hanging tables, they’re in Greenpoint.

Remi Flower & Coffee

Located near several businesses, this cute flower and coffee shop offers a little pocket of respite from busy bustle of the NYC streets. In addition to the beautiful, delicate flowers they sell, this flower shop offers an amazing selections of drinks such as rose lattes, lavender lattes, yuzu tea, matcha...the list goes on. I loved sipping my lavender latte among the flowers here. If you can, grab the window seat immediately to your right! It’s a coveted spot.
