A Walk Through the SF Botanical Gardens

It’s been a brisk week in San Francisco with cooler temperatures more reminiscent of a Bay Area winter. My husband and I took a casual photography stroll through the botanical gardens last weekend. We’re trying to take in all that’s left of fall before it officially ends and all the leaves have fallen.

The gardens were a lot more extensive than we expected. We definitely didn’t get through it all before the sun went down, but there were several pockets of color. Here’s a ginko tree below:

We found some of the same berries we’d used for making garlands earlier in the week.  I’d love to plant some of these bushes and trees one day.

These lantern flowers are some of our favorites, but we’ve never seen a type this long. I grew up with smaller versions of these in our garden when I was little.
