Strolling through Seattle Neighborhoods & Volunteer Park
Given we both needed to be in Seattle for work, my husband and I traveled together this time. We came a little earlier to spend some quality time together since I’d been in Boston the week before. Some people might wonder if we ever get tired of each other since we live, work, and commute together. But we never do. A week is a long time apart for us. So we took a long walk off the beaten path, bought iced lavender earl grey milk tea to go and found ourselves in Volunteer Park.
Along the way, we passed through these beautiful homes with rose bushes and well manicured, garden lawns. We lucked out on the warm weather here and all the blooms flowering everywhere.
We were surprised how few people were out here. Birds were chirping and a light breeze rustled the tree flower petals. Sunlight streamed in through the trees, leaving a golden glow on the walkways.
We found a mini greenhouse further into the park. Though it was closed, perhaps we’ll be back someday.
We took a slow walk back to our hotel after a short coffee break and dinner. It’s been a soothing weekend to unwind before another crazy work week begins for the both of us.
