Glamping in Big Sur

It’s been too long since we’ve gone camping. A few weeks ago, we headed to Big Sur for what felt like the most luxurious camping we’ve ever done. We started the evening by setting up a picnic meal at our table and making grilled cheese on my husband’s Biolite grill.

We enjoyed slow mornings. I woke up every morning to a mini cup of freshly brewed tea and one Milano cookie, personally delivered in-tent by my husband.

With Big Sur Bakery about five minutes down the road and several beaches to explore, we took it rather easy. My husband and our friend Kader lounged on the pebbly shores, leisurely looking out to sea while watching the surfers ride the waves.

We spent our evenings cozying by the toasty fire and sharing stories. On our last night, we made popcorn over the fire. Credits go to Kader, who found Jiffy Pop from the campsite store (yes, there was a store).
