Museum of Ice Cream

We had a great time at the Museum of Ice Cream last weekend. After queuing online for tickets multiple times, the wait was worth it!

We went through several rooms starting with the vault below:

Here's a photo of the ring toss game in one of the earlier rooms. Not sure what you win (since none of us won the game!), but it was fun nevertheless!

Several rooms offered sweets such as ice cream sandwiches, mochi, cotton candy and mini ice cream cones. If you were still craving ice cream at the end, there was a stand where you can buy sundaes near the shop.

Compared to the Color Factory visit (which was also awesome in itself), I found I appreciated the thoughtfulness put into the transitions from room to room here. You could sit and enjoy your ice cream at the booth. Then move onto the next room when you were ready.

This jukebox was actually functional! People changed the tunes from time to time.

I can't say I've ever eaten an It's It ice cream by myself, but here I am eating a strawberry one.

They also had a pink climbing wall along the way (which my husband loved):

To  rooms with oversized popsicles and wallpaper reminiscent of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory (but ice cream instead):

While there were rooms where you could pose and take photos, there were also interactive rooms like the one below:

And unicorns, rooms with floating clouds and cherries!

Swinging in a room lined with whip cream!

Fluffy, pink cotton candy! I was too full by this round that I didn't try any, but it definitely looked tasty.

And of course the pool of sprinkles! Given the number of people at the museum, our time here was short, but how often can someone say they've had a chance to swim in a pool of sprinkles?

We stayed until closing and browsed around their store. For a pretty penny, you can get some edible, intricate chocolate crowns decked in sprinkles!

Overall, it was fun night. Tickets are sold out in SF now, but it looks like they're opening one in Miami. I'd highly recommend!
